The only and only way to ace the Biochemistry portion in PMDC license exam is to study FIRST AID FOR USMLE STEP 1.
There are six portions in biochem section of this book:
1. Molecular
2. Cellular
3. Lab techniques
4. Genetics
5. Nutrition
6. Metabolism
Total no. of mcqs asked in pmdc Neb exam is 300.
150 each paper 1 and 2.
Biochem occupies 40 mcqs.
20 each paper 1 and 2.
Among these 40 MCQs, 70% MCQs are from nutrition and metabolism.
The remaining 30% are from the rest, including genetics 10% as a whole and the all left overs with the 10% MCQs.
Therefore, your primary focus should always be for the 70% part.
Now, let me tell you no matter how much u mug key points for biochem from any book or notes provided by various academies, you are never gonna kick this part good in exam if you left first aid book.
MY EXPERIENCE: Only and only first aid biochem and ALHAMDOLILAH I was hardly stucked in less than 5 MCQs in the exam from this major portion.
I even returned back and compiled all the biochem MCQs, for next batch.
